"Study to show thyself approved unto God ... " 2 Timothy 2:15

What Does It Mean, The saints shall judge the world? Does it mean that we will play a role on judgment day in condemning the unsaved? If not, then what does it mean?

Answer: While 1 Cor. 6:2, 3 clearly states that the saints will judge the world and the angels, I find no further details. It does say that the saints will testify against those who refused their witness
(Matt.12:41,42; Mark 6:11; Luke 10:10-12; 11:31.32).

The Bible talks about 3 judgments:

1) Judgment Seat of Christ
It takes place in Heaven at the middle of the Tribulation and judges the works of believers
(Roms. 14:10; 1 Cor. 3:13-15; Rev. 11:18).

2) Judgment of the Nations
It takes place on earth at the end of the Tribulation and judges the nations on their treatment of Israel during the last half of the Tribulation
(Matt. 25:31- 46).

3) Great White Throne Judgment
It takes place somewhere in space at the end of the Millennium and judges the lost of all ages
(Rev. 20:11-15).

More important than knowing our role in future judgments is to know our status as either saint or sinner. We will stand in the Judgment covered by Christ’s “robe of righteousness” (Is. 61:10) or cower before Him, exposed in our sins (Heb. 10:31).

“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved” (Acts 16:31).
